Thermo Electron ETD for protein modulation analysis enhances PTM detection. For parts only.

Product Information
The Thermo Electron Corporation ETD (Electron Transfer Dissociation) Module is designed for enhanced analysis of proteins and their post-translational modifications (PTMs). Unlike CID, ETD allows for sequence-independent fragmentation, preserving labile modifications on the peptide backbone. This ETD Module, compatible with Thermo ion trap and Orbitrap mass spectrometers, emphasizes increased protein ID and sequence coverage by producing complementary c- and z-type ions. The ETD is not fully tested, currently non-functional, and sold as-is for parts. Notably, the unit requires integration with an LTQ system for operation. A power cord is included, but a computer and related software are not provided. Ideal for spare parts or users capable of repair.
